MD200 magnetometer

Fast, reliable placement of underground hydrants, closed valve caps and rod or vessel covers

Fast and reliable placement of underground hydrants, covered valve caps and stem or manhole covers up to three meters deep.

MD200 magnetometer

The MD200 magnetometer is ideally suited for locating covered ferromagnetic metals - for example, valve caps and rods, hydrants, metal vessel and tank covers, as well as marker nails or magnets covered by soil, road surface, snow or water.

With this easy-to-store magnetometer from the MultiMeasure Professional series, after only a short familiarization period, you will already be able to find hidden objects quickly and tirelessly, without complicated measuring and digging.

MD200 – ideal detector for effective location of covered ferromagnetic objects in water and gas supply networks

The MD200 is ready after a few seconds of powering up. Thanks to the resistant ABS construction, the dirt and water-resistant membrane keyboard, as well as the waterproof probe stick made of light, epoxy-coated aluminum, you can use this measuring device even in the most difficult conditions.

Extreme heat, bitter cold, under water or in snow - the MD200 is specially designed for these environments and provides highly accurate location results in each situation.

The MD200 can safely locate ferromagnetic objects up to a depth of three meters and indicate the proximity on an easy-to-read backlit display as a number and bar graph. In addition, as the signal strength increases, an audible signal is output from the built-in speaker.

Locating objects by measuring the magnetic field with the MD200

The MD200 is well suited for measuring changes in magnetic fields due to its two excitation coils and four receiver coils. The measuring device responds with high sensitivity to the smallest changes in the Earth's magnetic field, as it is affected by ferromagnetic objects under the ground.

When you approach such an object with the MD200, the device indicates an increased signal both visually and acoustically. For larger objects - for example, dish covers - the maximum values occur at the edges of the object. By oscillating the magnetometer and comparing the signal, the exact location can be determined.

Some practical benefits:

Rapid detection of coated ferromagnetic metals at depths of up to three meters

Reliable measurement results - aluminum drink cans, bottle tops or other non-magnetic metal objects are not detected

Very sensitive - manually or automatically adjustable

More than 24 hours of continuous operation

Easy-to-read illuminated display with rotation function

Ergonomic, durable ABS body

Extremely lightweight construction - only 830g including batteries

Waterproof probe made of carbon fiber

Dirt and water resistant membrane buttons

Dual field strength display - optical and acoustic

Display of the maximum value of the magnetic signal

Alarm signal for proximity to live cables

Battery level display

Technical data:

Detection of changing magnetic fields caused by ferromagnetic metals in the soil (up to three meters deep - depending on the size of the object)

Battery powered: 4x LR6 AA batteries

membrane keys

Operating temperature range: -20 °C to +50 °C
