The PD 200 is a complete impulse current measurement system designed to detect grounded leaks in non-conductive sealing systems such as bitumen, elastomer, PE-HD and other plastic sheets. The system supplies voltage to the test foil. A circular circuit is implemented, with the negative pole located on the sealing surface and the ground cable with the positive pole attached to the underside of the corresponding sealing layer.
The moisture on the conductive surface acts as a conductor for the electrical current supplied through the pulse generator. The direction of this current flow is detected using measuring rods, revealing a path to the leakage point on the pulse receiver. When using PD 200, the condition of the seal - whether it is covered with gravel or covered with vegetation - is irrelevant. The only requirement is to ensure sufficient saturation of the sealing sheet.
The PD 200 system comes standard in a practical carrying case containing a pulse generator, a pulse receiver, two measuring rods, a connecting cable, 200 m of loop wiring, a 25 m ground cable extension and more.
